Illinois Public Adjusters Association Actively Affects Legislation
Illinois Public Adjusters Association’s president and member has, for years, worked actively with Lobbyists, the Illinois Department of Insurance, the Illinois States Attorney’s Office, and various Aldermen. By working in conjunction with these parties the Illinois Public Adjusters Association seeks to protect the consumer and promote industry standards of integrity ethics and professionalism. Members have worked closely with Lobbyists, the Illinois Department of Insurance, and the Illinois State’s Attorney’s Office to draft new, up-to-date legislation and guidelines regarding Public Insurance Adjusters. These new guidelines help promote the practice of professionalism, which greatly benefits both the consumer as well as the Licensed Public Adjusters. For example, our laws control the manner and hours of solicitation, and further, the fees which can be charged by Illinois Public Adjusters.
